SENIOR (2016): Returning as the starting left tackle for the 2016 season ... recorded a fumble that he advanced 4 yards for a first down vs. Charlotte. 

JUNIOR (2015): Starting left tackle ... part of starting offense that ranks second in American Athletic Conference in time of possession ... unit named to Joe Moore Award Honor Roll as top offensive line in the country (9/12) ...missed a start at SMU.

SOPHOMORE (2014): Fought back from a broken foot a year ago to earn the starting LT spot ...one of the toughest players on the team (he and C Kyle Friend would have earned single-digit jerseys but NCAA rule prohibit offensive line men from wearing one) ...  caught a deflected pass from Phillip Walker for seven yards vs. Navy ... suffered an ankle injury vs. Tulsa and played through it at Houston, but did not play at UCF ... protected the blindside of QB Phillip Walker as the O-line allowed just one sack per 19.2 pass attempts (best mark in school history).

FRESHMAN (2014): Mid-year student who enrolled at Temple in January 2013 ... played in each of the first 5 games … started 2 games; @Id (LT) and vs. Lou. (RT) ... was one of three true freshmen (QB Phillip Walker, RB Zaire Williams) seeing significant playing time on offense before suffering a season ending foot injury in game 5 ... one of four true freshmen to start at LT in the NCAA in 2013 - Jonathan McLaughlin (Va. Tech), Laremy Tunsil (Ole Miss), Dorian Johnson (Pitt).

PREP SCHOOL: Played offensive tackle for coach Troy Davis at Hargrave Military Academy during the 2012 season … bolstered an O-line that helped the Tigers rush for more than 150 yards per game.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played offensive and defensive tackle for coach Gary Mobley at Rahway HS … graduated in 2012 … participated in the North-South Game. 

PERSONAL: Born Dion Ray Dawkins … parents are Lisa Dawkins and Eric Dawkins … criminal justice major.
