SENIOR (2016): A semifinalist for the John Mackey Award presented to the top tight end in the nation ... Named first-team all-Sun Belt Conference ... Also earned first-team all-Sun Belt honors from Phil Steele Publications ... Tied for the team lead with 49 receptions, and was second on the squad with 717 yards receiving and four touchdown catches ... Finished the year tied for third among tight ends in the country in receiving yards per game and was tied for seventh in catches per contest ... Ended up sixth in the league in both categories as well ... Had a game-high 103 yards on five catches — including a 79-yard touchdown reception on the Jaguars’ second play of the second half — to help the program to its first ever victory over a nationally-ranked opponent in a 42-24 defeat of No. 19 San Diego State ...
