Alabama's Million Dollar Band to perform

Mon, Dec 17, 2018

MOBILE, Ala. (Dec. 17) - The University of Alabama’s Million Dollar Band has been a tradition in the state of Alabama for 106 years and it’s becoming a tradition at the Reese’s Senior Bowl, too.

For the seventh time since 2000 the Million Dollar Band will perform in pregame and halftime festivities at the 2019 Reese’s Senior Bowl.

“It’s always exciting to have the Million Dollar Band here,” said Reese’s Senior Bowl Executive Director Jim Nagy. “It’s one of the most respected university marching bands in the country and I know Crimson Tide fans will be thrilled to see their band in Mobile.”

The Million Dollar Band, which last performed at the Reese’s Senior Bowl four years ago, won the Sudler Award in 2003, which designates the ‘National Champion’ of collegiate marching bands. It has traveled all over the country to perform, most recently to Indianapolis in November of 2017 to play at the Bands of America Grand Nationals.

The 70th Annual Reese’s Senior Bowl is slated for January 26, 2019 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.

The game kicks off at 1:30pm CT on NFL Network. The first of three practices for the South and North teams is on Tuesday, January 22.
